The First Foal!!

And the first outdoor show.

Well we had our first foal on the 16th of this month a filly by Spartacus out of Vera Rulana-an Odermus R mare. Everything went well and at 9.30am it wasn't a bad time of day!!!
Then on the Sunday following this we went to Weston Lawns for their first outdoor of the season-all classes were single phasewhich suited our horses as we just wanted to get them out. The youngsters went well Cioletta just had 4 faults in the British Novice and Danna managed a double clear which considering it was in the main arena with some very spooky fences we thought this was a great achievement!! Chagall jumped the Discovery with Cioletta and Danna but all had a fence. Lambus went double clear in the 1.05 but had 4 faults in the Newcomers but is coming on well. Cordino and Balia both jumped double clears in the Newcomers then Balia had a run around the Foxhunter. We also took Zanzibar for the 1.20 as his back has been treated and we were wanting to see how he felt- superb-is the answer!!! He did a very good round for 2nd place and felt back to his impressive self nd he was full of it I think he was glad to be able to jump to his usual standard.
This week we've been busy fencing and clearing fields and getting ready to turn the horses out - so hopefully the weather will now hold good for a while!
