A Warm Christmas

Followed by a monsoon!!!!

Well we haven't been out and about for a while and Christmas has been and gone and we are now forming cabin fever!!! We did plan a trip to Southview for a clear round day but the weather foiled our plans - we had a wagon load of freshly broken horses ready for their first look at different scenery!! As this proved not to be possible we set a full course up at home and let them have a good schooling session which proved to be just as beneficial. The weather again stopped us from attending Kingswood as because we have to leave so early the frost was still about so hopefully we'll be able to go to Field House on the 2nd and the Onley on the 5th of January.
Christmas passed fleetingly we had a few hours reprieve and finished our work early to settle down to the obligatory feast and a relaxing afternoon!! Since then it's pretty much been work as usual but the wind has been playing havoc with working the young horses - today we were confined to the shed as a monsoon appeared to hit us!! The yard turned into a river so we decided it was perhaps time the 3/4yr olds that have been recently broken were in need of hair cuts so atleast our day was not all wasted! So we're now planning their first show maybe Southview in a couple of weeks.
