Youngsters.And more youngsters!!

Not much news to report - we did nip off to our most local show at Prescott on Sunday and Carl qualified Cordino M for the Blue Chip Novice he came 3rd in a class of nearly 60 so we were pleased we only took one other horse and she managed a double clear in the Discovery.

Other than that the past two weeks have been filled with working young horses. Over the last few months since Scope we have backed roughly 15 horses 3's and 4's. Still 5 left to back. So we have been following the long slow process of training them in all aspects of their future careers!!

We did on Monday of this week bring in our first gang of horses this consisted of the yearling and two year old colts. The two year old geldings are still out at the moment but I'm sure this wont be for long as several of the patures are now very wet underfoot. The colts have settled down well and I think they're glad to be under cover!!! The groups of mares are still out but as they are on larger areas and have plenty of dry, shady patches to lie, they seem happy for the time being!
