Busy Busy Busy!!!

Shows, foals and hard work!

Well since my last news update things have been rather busy here. We've had three more foals 2 colts-Lord Z and Crown Z and a filly-Corlensky G. Luckily all went well and the foals are now out enjoying the early sunshine.
We also returned to Southview to jump on the Saturday following my last update and 3 of our mares added to their Newcomer double clears Cecile, Zatina and Zipina. The following weekend we took a trip to Kingswood on the Saturday and Anouk and Zipina jumped double clears in the Newcomers and Chiquita and Cordino made their show debut!!! Chiquita jumped around for two fences down but only ever wanted to jump the fences which is promising and the star of the show had to be Cordino he jumped his first show for a double clear and a 2nd prize!!! We then made the trip to Field House on the Sunday where Avola and Balia finished of their Newcomer double clears to qualify for the 2011 second rounds and Avalon had a nice double clear in the Scope B/C qualifier but star of the show for us was Zanzibar making his return to the show circuit we only jumped the Newcomers as 6 months off the circuit is a long time and we wanted to see how he felt-and I can honestly say I think I dreamt the 6 months off as he just glided around clear as if he'd never had a break!!
Since then its been very busy we've had customers everyday this week which means our land rover paintwork has had a battering as every time we park up in a field to view the youngstock they proceed to scrape their teeth along the bonnet!!!
So for now its back to foal watch as we have a couple more starting to prepare and hopefully if all goes to plan tomorrow we'll be heading off to Southview on Saturday.
