RodbastonCarl and the gang are on form!!!

Well after a not so good start to the day things picked up well. Our collision with a car on the way to the show was soon forgotten as the horses started to jump.
First off the blocks was Cecile she did a nice double clear in the 1.05-her new bridle working a treat. Next to go was Zipina who had a small mishap and shot past the 2nd fence-whoops! Then Avalon made his return after a small injury and a winter holiday- he jumped an excellent double clear was placed 7th and will jump again in the 1.20 tomorrow. The Newcomers had to be the best class though-although both of my rounds lacked polish and both horses went green and one of Carls got stage fright-the three remaining rides for Carl were placed 3rd 4th and 5th!!! Breaker excelled himself and Mark gave him a score of 10/10 for his rideability so he deserved his 3rd place in what was his first newcomer jump off. Balia just improves beyond belief with every show I have a feeling when makes his debut at the bigger shows this summer he wont be with us for long-he's definatley a star of the future! And as for Anouk-she was very good as she's only been in work for a week after 3 weeks off from being kicked on exercise, so her fitness wasn't the best but considering her inexperience she didn't go green in the ring she just got on with her job.
So we're now back home the rugby's on-I hear England had a hammering so Mark is now content to watch Wales whilst I sort out the kit for a trip to Southview tomorrow!!!
